Native Plant Conference, Millersville, PA

Just returned home from the Native Plants in the landscape conference at Millersville, PA. Such an educational trip. One highlight was a talk by Thomas Ranier and Claudia West. The authors of 'Planting in a Post-Wild World: Designing Plant Communities for Resilient Landscapes'. It really gave me perspective that 'green mulch' is the way to go. Imagine your chore list without mulching! After some quick research I think some good candidates for green mulch which I am going to try our are: Packer area, Tiarella cordifolia, Aster divercatus, Sedum ternatum, and some ferns.
